Glenfern Cottage
Glenfern Cottage is a lovingly restored workers’ cottage from the Whangaparapara sawmill.
In 1914 it was barged in to Glenfern from the once bustling industrial centre for timber milling, mining and whaling.
Tucked away in the expansive gardens it provides unique accommodation for guests who want to be "off grid" on Aotea Great Barrier Island.
Room for 6 guests
Three bedrooms can sleep up to six people. The bed layout can be changed to suit your needs, with 1 double, 1 twin-single and a bunk room. Alternatively, you can have 2 doubles and a bunk room.

To make your stay convenient and comfortable, Glenfern Cottage is self-contained, including all linen. You’ll enjoy gas hot water. There’s a BBQ and outdoor picnic table for summer nights and a cosy fire for magical winter getaways.
